Playing 500

It is 12 degrees outside, with a few hints of sun. So, after school we got out one of our Christmas presents--a batting tee, bat, and whiffle balls.

It was a lot of fun! Both of them have really improved their hand-eye co-ordination since they were playing Tball and Blastball last spring.


After a few turns of hitting, I explained the rules of '500' to them. It was really great--both of them caught a '100'! It wasn't so good when I was batting though--they were both so competitive they were falling on top of each other to get the ball.



Here is a video of Harriet batting. I'm sure it will be raining again soon, but we enjoyed the brief break in the weather.
