Science World 2010

For the first time in a long time, we went to Science World. It used to be one of our favourite hang outs, but since moving to Burnaby and being in school full-time, we haven't been in at least a year. It was really fun.

This visit, the special feature was Pirates. I thought the rocky area was for taking photos (previously they had a lego car here), so I took one, then we discovered that it's actually for using metal detectors to find treasure.

We shot some cannons (the ships got away unfortunately), set off alarms, and tied some knots. Harriet wanted to keep practising, so we took a photo of the instructions to keep.

After shooting balls in the main upstairs area, we went up to the Contraption Corner. I'm not sure that we've been there more than briefly, previously. This time, there were a number of building stations. Harriet and I built bridges out of washers while Rowan built Jenga towers. I was quite impressed with Harriet's skill. Then we went to a domino table and built towers and lines of dominoes to topple.
